Duba Plains

Situated on an island in the far north of the Okavango Delta, near the Moremi Game Reserve, Duba Plains is a small intimate camp with just 6 tents. Duba Plains offers a year round Delta experience. The elegant Meru style tents are raised off the ground. Each tent has a private viewing deck overlooking the Okavango, with outside shower and en-suite facilities. Mosquito nets and ceiling fans are standard in these luxury tents. The tents are connected to the communal areas by raised walk ways. The central lounge, dining room and bar is all thatched under a canopy of ebony trees. The lounge is welcoming and overlooks a communal fire pit and the ever changing floodplains. There is a plunge pool for those hot summer afternoons.

The wildlife at Duba Plains has traditionally been fascinating. The camp focuses on the incredible wildlife in the area through game drives, which are conducted during the day and at night in open 4 x 4 vehicles. 

This pristine area is home to Lion, Lechwe, Elephant, Aardwolf, Bat-eared fox, Side-striped jackal and huge herds of Buffalo, as well as a large variety of Okavango Delta bird life.  Wattled Cranes and Slaty Egrets are some of the Okavango specials found in the area.  Land game drives in open 4×4 Land Rovers lead by an experienced guide and night drives with spot light – but this will only be possible once the water levels have receded.
