Chiefs Camp

There are 12 luxury chalets at Chiefs Camp, nestled in the surrounding woodlands, all with private viewing decks. Each chalet has both an indoor and outdoor showers, en-suite facilities and ceiling fan. The main lodge houses the dining area, bar and reception area. This structure was built into the existing landscape, under a heavy canopy of mature Jackalberry, Sausage and Rain trees. The main deck area is split-level and offers breath-taking views over the floodplain to the north. The lower level of the deck houses the swimming pool and deck. There are also pampering spa treatments available. The dining at Chief’s Camp is very special, with intimate bush dinners and fireside conversation.

The game viewing activities at Chiefs Camp focus on game-drives are conducted in custom built open 4 X 4 vehicles, which offer individual seating. Game drives are conducted early morning and late afternoon. The accompanying professional guides are among the best in Botswana. When the water levels permit guests can explore water safaris at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro. The "predator capital of Africa" is this region, where wildlife viewing is enjoyable all year long. The Okavango Delta's largest undeveloped landmass and the only area in Botswana where rhinos can be seen in the wild is Chief's Island.
