Little Vumbura Camp

  Surrounded by water, Little Vumbura is a beautiful tented camp with just six tents, built under the shade of an ancient forest. Each tent is built on raised decks and are spacious with en-suite facilities. A private veranda at each tents provide views over the ever changing waterways. Each tent has a view of the floodplain, ceiling fans and tea and coffee making facilities. The main area of the lounge, bar and dining room are all built on decks under canvas overlooking the Okavango Delta. A traditional boma provides dining under the stars! For a quiet moment, the reading area overlooks the flood plain and there is a plunge pool to cool off in. 

Little Vumbura is in the northern Okavango Delta on the Vumbura Concession. Vumbura has both the wetland and savannah species of wildlife – Red Lechwe, Waterbuck, Hippos, Crocodiles, as well as Sable, Kudu, Wildebeest and Tsessebe, who roam the open plains. On game drives we often see more Sable than we do Impala. Herds of Buffalo and Elephant occur here, along with the predators – Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog and Cheetah. Guests who enjoy their birding will love the combination of all the Okavango water “specials” with acacia and dry woodland species.
