  Chitabe Camp is a luxury camp in the southern part of the Okavango. Situated on the private Chitabe Concession this camp has the best of everything on offer in the Delta. Part of the concession in grassy floodplains interspersed with acacia and mopane woodlands. The other half of the concession has palm lined flood plains, tranquil waterways and wooded islands. This mix of typical Okavango and dryer Kalahari habitats makes Chitabe Camp a year round game viewing paradise, with a large concentration of predators, especially wild dog. There are eight Meru style tents that have been built on raised decks amongst the trees. Each tent has a double sliding door, outdoor sitting area that overlooks the flood plain, tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite facilities, and even an outdoors shower! The thatched dining area, lounge and pub are raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. There is also a plunge pool that will cool guests off in heat of the day.

 Chitabe offers land activities all year round. It is well known for its predator concentrations of cheetah, lion, leopard and wild dog. Night-drives can be very rewarding and offer, seeing the elusive nocturnal animals such as aardvark and pangolin. It also gives rare opportunities to view animals such as Civet Cat, Genet Cat, Porcupine, Serval, Caracal and Aardwolf.  Chitabe hosts a variety of wildlife, which includes Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. Wild dog are also known to frequent the area. Guests should also see Zebra, Reedbuck, Giraffe, Kudu, Impala, Tsessebe, Warthog, Baboons, Bushbuck.  Day and night land game drives in open 4×4 Land Rovers are led by a professional guide, each guest has a window seat! Spotlights are used at night to find those predators and other night animals and birds!

Walking Safaris are offered from camp on request basis, guests have this opportunity to explore on foot, spotting the smaller animals that inhabit the area.
