Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge

Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge offers an oasis type setting in complete luxury. There are 12 luxury rooms which have been built on raised decks maximising the great views of the surrounds. Each private deck has a hammock and chairs for a private moment of game viewing. Each room has an en-suite bathroom as well as an outside shower, air-conditioning, WIFI and shaded by thatched roofs.

Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge has excellent facilities. Overlooking the waterhole is an observation deck where guests can watch the activity happen. A traditional boma hosts alfresco dining under the stars with the Chef cooking over an open fire. The lounge and bar area also has a library as well as a large swimming pool for guest to enjoy.

 In Savute, one animal reigns supreme. Savute is the place to see the earth’s largest land creatures, the African Elephant. Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge is in a perfect position to take advantage of the surrounding prolific wildlife.

Game viewing and bird life opportunities are excellent in the area. Wildlife in the area: Impala, Tsessebe, Giraffe and Zebra as well as the powerful predators: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. You are also likely to see plenty of Wildebeest, Warthog, Kudu, Black-backed Jackals, Steenbok, Bat-eared Foxes, vultures, hornbills and eagles.   

When the rain comes in December, this arid region changes completely and the once dry plains sustain, for a short period, herds of migrating Zebra in their thousands.
