Activities at Jacks Camp vary and are seasonal. The wet season is generally from late November through to March and into April. Activities available during the wet season include game drives in open customized 4×4 vehicles; bird walks offer guests the opportunity to view migratory waterfowl (flamingos, storks, Wattled crane, ducks, terns, etc.) Weather permitting and depending on the amount of rainfall received, guests will have usage of 4WD quad bikes and vehicles on the salt pans, an exhilarating way to explore the area. Night game drives provide the opportunity to view migration and unique desert wildlife including the Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Aardwolf etc).
Guided game walks with Bushman trackers are a highlight and guests can observe desert wildlife such as Gemsbok, Meerkat and Springbok. Guests can also visit to the historic Baobab Trees, the campsites of Livingstone, Selous and Baines). The dry season allows more extensive use of the quad bikes out on the pans. All other activities are available as well.
